Default Have a look

Here are two utterly boring shots showing some colors.
What image do you think has the best colors?
I will let you know what the difference is between them later in the post.
Thanks for looking.

The weave is most likely not pinkish in colour....

Second one I'd say is the more accurate.

The bottom one is a little lighter, and there's a bit more shadow detail - look at the pincers on the pliers, but I wouldn't say one is 'better' than the other, just very slightly different interpretations of the original.

It's difficult because the scene is so boring.
I see the "lighter" colors in number two, but I also notice a different kind of sharpness in number one. I also detect some kind of "noise" in number two which makes number one look a bit clearer, but I don't know if others agree.

I fell asleep playing "spot the difference" When I woke up I realised a basic and simple truth.

I simply don't care.

Regards.

I'd say the bottom one is better balanced... but it's all the fabric base... is it WHITE in reality ? Anyway... I can't trust so much my uncalibrated monitor....
Tell us the truth ... UVIR & not ?

Problem is... how was the scene lightened ? Only sunlight from right, rather angled (about 45°, looking at shadows...) ? Apart the color, there is clearly a difference of luminosity in the left area ... is it real or an effect (that can be surely explained ... ) ?

I could measure an average difference of 4 on 256 levels higher (lighter) on the 2nd view. Some few more details inside the red cable or the left darksides of every stuff.

Here's more of a real shot to make up for the boring color stuff.
The scene was badly lit(on the color shots), with sunlight from a dim window on the right and a warmer light from a window closer to the left.

Frage Re: Why Guessing Games?

Why don't people just post their pictures and give us the info?

In this particular case, it could hardly be considered a controlled test.

I guess I'm "people" then?
The slight difference in the parameters was to make the photos look as similar as possible.
The opening post shows firmware 1.102 at the top and 1.201 at the bottom.

I believe that a certain amount of certainty in ones own methods are needed in order to accept and allow others to do things differently.
We all choose what we think makes most sense.
