In the last couple of days I decided to take the Hexar Dual Range out for a spin. Because I have a MATE this lens has not been given a lot of attention since the M8 purchase, although it was the very first lens I put on the first M8.
It is simply excellent, especially the 21mm, although the 35mm F4 is no slouch. The 21mm wide open F3.4 on my M8 shows no focus shift. It is a bit of a strange beast to use, but it certainly is an excellent match for the M8. I have a number of images on my flickr site. Best Regards. |

Terry, I think it's as rare as hen's teeth and I think you have a Noct Nikkor as well. I am NOT envious. Of course not. Are you using an IR filter with the lens and have you made any attempt to code it?

I do have the NOCT - nice lens. I have an IR filter for the Dual Range (it was a left over from some early IR problems with a DSLR) and it is needed on the HDR for sure. I have not attempted to code it, thought about it but just haven't tackled it. Best Regards. Terry |
