Default M lens rental in Los Angeles

I just received my M8.

I leave on Saturday for a week long shoot shoot and my lenses have not returned from Leica and DAG.

Is there anyone local willing to rent me their lens arsenal for a week?

Are there any dealers you recommend that rent M lenses? I know Samys rents them, but am not sure if they rent them with UV/IR filters, or if they are coded (though this really only matters for the wides). I have a leica E39 and a B+W E43. It doesn't sound too attractive to buy a filter for a rented lens. I also don't know the condition of their rental lenses, wether they are in spec.

I'm from LA and I really doubt anyone would rent out their lenses. Leica owners are pretty anal about their lenses being scratched or altered in any way. The way prices are going, it's like an investment that keeps apreciating.

Samy's lenses are probably in better shape then those someone might be willing to let you use privately. Ask if they'll let you rent filters, typically rental places don't mind renting you ANYTHING if it happens to be in inventory.

Just remember that unless you're an account customer you'll be expected to furnish a credit card that they can pre-auth the full price of the lens against for security, particularly with items like Leica glass. This shouldn't be a surprise as it's standard practice but just in case ....
