I know you're making fun of my comments. But there's two issues whenever you go e-bay:
  1. Does the product work?
  2. Is the vendor reliable?

So I commenting I can't tell the difference between the e-Bay US$15 battery and the Leica batteries. Excellent product.
The other comment even if that product is good (like buying a Mercedes versus a Lada; apologies to any Lada supporters), is it a reliable vendor who is not going to rip you off. So here the comment is 5 stars

Best

Some of us had to "suck in hard" to purchase the body (demo body, too); spending close to the same for ONE lens is just not part of life. If you can afford it, congratulations.

Maybe those purchasing less expensive consumables (ie, batteries) would rather place the difference in a "CV lens purchase fund".

Yes, in hindsight I should not have purchased the M8; if I had realized that the Leica glass would go up as quickly as it did, I might be a Nikon or Canon guy again. The way prices are going, I sincerely doubt whether anything else Leica branded will be purchased by me.

There are plenty of people here who blame their M8 woes on cheap batteries.

Spend £2,800 on a camera body and then scrimp on a £30 battery? Doesn't make sense to me.
All wealthy people do that all the time.
That's also how they're wealthy.
I was the other day at a party with an affluent family :
rich house, paintings, furniture, and food just so-so. Everyone was delighted.

I purchased 2 of these on EBay ...figured they are so cheap it would be worth a try.

Taken them on 3 shoots ... both work great.

Can't tell the diff. Let's see how they hold up.

I've got four Leica ones and four hong-kong ones, bought as emergency backup. I use them indiscriminately now, I cannot tell the difference in use.

The problem is, you put one in, and in half an hour you need another one

Sorry, I forget sometimes this is an international group, on account of everyone writes English better than me

In the US it's an old joke that Chinese food is great but in a half hour your hungry again. (That was back in the day when all they served was chow main and chopped suey, mostly waterlogged veggies. Since a long time the menus have changed.)

You're absolutely right. Everyone does write better English than you.

The point of this forum is not just to show off how good you can write or how clever you [think you] are. After reading most of your 22 posts it looks like you needed that clarified.

Have a real nice day.

Innuendo in the sense of double entendre, Jim, not disparaging.. Don't mind me, I'm half British anyway..

Then I guess everyone is set to pass with flying colors

What is worrying though is 'chopped suey' this sounds disgusting. What a difference only one letter makes.

We appear to be drifting off topic though - anyone with Chinese battery experience?

don`t buy them. they are all shit! that is my conclusion. only first chrage gives correct indication to the camera, but after that even fully carged camera shows 1/3 full. probably ok to use but i wouldn`t know when to replace it.

I've used them for over a year now and never had a problem, usually can't tell them from the original. Does anyone really believe Leitz makes their own batteries? I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same batteries just private labeled for them. I did work for a tool company for years, their brand name was nothing special and if I gave you their name yu probably would say they were junk, but I'll bet you've purchased them under different names and thought they were great.
