Hello guys,
it's just my impression or this lens is really soft in the corners as the old 35lux pre-asph was? I've seen this tons of pictures, but due to the trasversal framing the the photographer adopted in all FA shots, i can't see clearly where the bokeh ends and the soft corners begin... best Maurizio |

Tried one at the camera store here in Hong Kong yesterday.
Don't know if I had a bad copy (didn't have a lot of time before the store closed), but its kind of dreamy at 1.4, improves at f/2. When I compared the CV at f/2 to my Zeiss Biogon at f/2, the Biogon blew the CV out of the water, in terms of sharpness. No comparison. That said, I have noticed CV to have a lot of sample variation, so perhaps, its just a bad copy. For me I'll continue to lug around my fantastic & Big CV Nokton f/1.2 and when I don't feel the need to carry so heavy a lens, I'll use the Biogon f/2. Too bad, I was hoping to pick up the new CV f/1.4 due to its small size and sell the Nokton & Biogon. |
