The purpose of this thread is to list the items we M8 users feel we are waiting for from Leica. Sean Reid will bring this thread to the attention of our friendly listeners at Leica.

This is NOT a wish list for changes to the M8.

To start, I would like to see:

1. new (dual, or other) battery charger
2. SDHC capability

Do you mean to be implemented on the actual M8 by means of firmware updates?

I would like to see an improvement in noise handling, if possible; improved lens based corrections (chromatic aberrations, vignetting, distortion), if posible; lens selection on the menu camera.

Rubén, I think the 1st one you mention is certainly something we have been "waiting for."

When this list has some legs, Leica can attach some priorities to the things we think we deserve.

Bill, this isn't intended as a 'troll', but I'm struggling to see the difference between "items we M8 users feel we are waiting for from Leica", and a wish list. Do you have examples of things that fall into one category and not the other?

Hi Bill,

In the interests of simplicity (and potential for success) I want to concentrate on the firmware changes for ISO/EV and WB. It will be more effective that way.

This current thread is certainly something that I, and others here who are regular communication with Leica, can pass on as well.

I'll start a thread about the control access changes shortly.
