carlos.paula Posted February 18, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 18, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, friends. Anyone here had a compatibility problem using the Leica Digital Capture in Windows 7? I install the program, which cames with my camera. Running it, I plug my M8 via USB cable and the program recognizes it, showing the serial number. But, after the adjustments that the program offers, I take a picture remotely; the camera fires according, but no image is transfered to my PC and a error message appears: Thumbnail Error 2. Thanks a lot.

tobey bilek Posted February 19, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) It may have something to do with the M8 not being able to be set to mass storage device. Picture Control Protocol is all that is available. Later cameras have both and mass storage is by far the better option if you download from the camera USB which is what teathered is doing. Check the program to see if mass storage is required. Use a newly formatted card with nothing but teathered pictures and keep the count low Lastly try raw + basic JPEG . Both will record, but only the JPEG will read. The raw should read in editing program. Edited February 19, 2015 by tobey bilek
carlos.paula Posted February 20, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted February 20, 2015 I asked Leica Camera about that and they told me that the program is not compatible with Windows 7 or 8, only with XP. There is no way or alternative solution, and the program was descontinued.
