Warranty Extension for M8/M8.2
I've just discovered on the German Leica Website that Leica offer a special one year warranty extension for the M8/M8.2 for 250 Euros plus VAT:
Leica Camera AG - Noch mehr Sicherheit The offer is valid from 1. Feb 2010 to 31. Jul 2010 for M8, and from 1. Feb 2010 to 31. Jan 2011 for M8.2 Anyone interested? |

No you don't need that - just wait until your camera fails then start a thread on here saying you thought a Leica should last forever and sometimes longer then you can get it fixed for free you know

Looks like a good way for non-professional EU M8 users to get an extra year's protection if they didn't buy the upgrade. Interesting gambit. Nice to get a bit of extra cash flow, apparently? Nothing similar on the US site, from what I see.
