this might be a question that has been asked many times but I haven't found the answer.
I have been using my M8 with perfect results for 3 weeks. I take my B@W and DNG pictures with the new filters. Because my Leica love has returned I also want to use my M6 again, do I have to take off these filters or can they stay on the lenses? Thank you for an answer, Gerjan |

The IR-cut filters that you are using on the M8 may not bother you if you leave them on the lens when you use your film Leica. They only cut off the infrared portion of the light.
You might try an experiment and see what you find. Others have posted that they leave them off all the time when they do b/w work.

As Bill said, the UV/IR Cut filters should make no difference with lenses 50mm and longer.
May not be noticeable with 35mm. Probably will be noticeable with 28mm and shorter.

Mine stay on when shooting film, but then I only shoot B&W.
