What can I say? We're a ruddy-faced people!

I know it's not from lack of an IR filter, as I've had one on the lens since day one.

I think the reddish skin tones have more to do with a combination of the light I find myself shooting in and the way Capture One LE handles color, because I see ruddy faces in photos taken with my other lenses, too.

It also probably has to do with my approach to processing- I rarely try to flatter my subjects, so I go for accuracy in rendering instead of pleasing skin tones, and, like I said, we're a ruddy-faced bunch!

Yes it shows it well if your lens is the SC. Very close to the latest pre-asph Summilux but a bit sharper than the latter though. I guess you've got a bit of motion blur as well.

I LOVE mythbusters. though I wish they had found the old training 16mm film about filling a REAL ship with ping-pong balls, which my father showed me decades ago..

I have had a hard time deciding between the nocton 1.4 and 1.2, I really can afford either, but what I worry about is the size and weight of the 1.2

I think I am going to go for the 1.4. I want it to be my main lens for my m8 and the 1.2 is just too big. I really want a light compact setup. This will give me the CV 21/4, CV 35/1.4 and 50 mm Summicron. I may add the 75 summarit M someday as well.

I've just ordered (today) a CV 21/4 and the 40 Nokton, my main lens is a 28 Summicron so I wanted to extend my range both ways, and also to have one fast last. Considered the 35 Nokton but it was too close to the 28 to be worthwhile. I'm really looking forward to getting the UPS man coming tomorrow. This thread and the various others about the CV lenses were what persuaded me to give them a try.

After deciding to buy the CV 35 1.4, I found a great deal on a 35 Summicron, so it is now on the way
