bocaburger Posted November 30, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 30, 2014 If you used autoexposure on your R's then the M7 is the only Leica M body that gives you that option. Personally I prefer the .72 viewfinders as they have frame lines for the entire range of lenses from 28-135mm.
TomB_tx Posted November 30, 2014 Share #3 Posted November 30, 2014 Agreed - since the R4 manual exposure was a bit clunky, I generally used spot-aperture mode metering and locking exposure. The M7 would be natural. If you had preferred the R6, then the M6 is a natural companion to that.
R6M6 Posted December 6, 2014 Share #4 Posted December 6, 2014 R6.2 with Spot is very similarity to M6. Tested the M7 and like to compare it with my R4S2 also with Spot.
cp995 Posted December 6, 2014 Share #5 Posted December 6, 2014 ...Personally I prefer the .72 viewfinders as they have frame lines for the entire range of lenses from 28-135mm. Depends on the focal length preferences ... For me .85 would be better, as the 50mm framefield is bigger and 35mm can be used via the out-of frame area. Chacun à son goût

gberger Posted December 8, 2014 Share #7 Posted December 8, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) As my eyes aged, I found there .85 to be a blessing.
