Changes of the MP iso selector disk

Hello,

I am the happy owner of a Leica MP from 2004 and I noticed that the iso selector disk has changed three times of shape in the history of this camera.

At the very beginning it was the same than the M6, after, like mine (see photo), and after (around No 3 000 000). like this (an MP3 /LHSA, it seems to have no central axis). Why this changes?

Thank you for your answers,

..... I specifically bought the 1st (M6 style) version because the detents are much less susceptible to accidentally moving it.

Mine is the second version. Can you explain why you say this is more susceptible to being accidentally moved? After 8 years of use it is still as tight as it was when new and needs quite firm and determined pressure from the tip of a thumb on the central ribbed disc to adjust it.

Unless I'm missing your point, I can't see how it could be accidentally moved.
