micmojo Posted May 23, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everybody! I have the following issue with my DS M3: from one day to the next the film is not properly forwarded and the shutter not cocked anymore. The problem is that after the first stroke the gears are not held in place, waiting for the second stroke, but return to the initial state after stroke 1. I am afraid I will have to send it in for service, but before I do so, maybe there is a fix that I can try myself. I searched the web, but did not find any clues, any ideas? Many thanks! Advertisement Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Hi micmojo, Take a look here M3 double stroke issue. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
TomB_tx Posted May 23, 2014 Share #2 Posted May 23, 2014 It may be a different problem, but clutch slipping in the DS advance due to long-term wear is common. Mine slips at times requiring an extra stroke, but isn't consistent. The tech who did the last service on it said if it gets worse the cure is to install the SS conversion, as DS parts are unavailable.
