Advertisement Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Hi hansmezger, Take a look here New evf for the M240. Coming.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
bocaburger Posted June 23, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 23, 2014 Cool. If that means the Olympus EVF4 works, I'm in. If I have to pay $500 for the Leica one, I'll stick with what I've got. For what I use it for it's good enough.
fotofool Posted June 23, 2014 Share #3 Posted June 23, 2014 Oh, I hope this is true! Even if it requires buying the more expensive Leica branded one, I'm in. I shoot my M OVF more than 90% of the time. But when I want to use the EVF it is for some critical purpose (like focusing my 75 lux on an iris at MFD) and I want it to be a sharp! jonoslack Posted June 23, 2014 Share #8 Posted June 23, 2014 I thought they were going to offer an upgrade to a hybrid viewfinder on the Monochrom... That too - , actually, I think they'll offer that with the old ME as well, together with a sensor swap to an X-Trans sensor

AlanJW Posted June 23, 2014 Share #10 Posted June 23, 2014 All good rumors are false. All bad rumors are true. I hope this actually breaks the rule as VF4 is a significant step up from VF2. And I happen to have one left over from my Oly tryout.
ayewing Posted June 24, 2014 Share #11 Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) Obviously the delay in the new firmware is due to sorting out the upgrade to VF4! Edited June 24, 2014 by ayewing Typo

LocalHero1953 Posted June 24, 2014 Share #14 Posted June 24, 2014 An EVF that allowed use of the hot shoe for flash triggering would be nice......
Paul J Posted June 24, 2014 Share #15 Posted June 24, 2014 The new EVF is the M Lens adapter for the Leica T
Jennifer Posted June 24, 2014 Share #16 Posted June 24, 2014 Obviously the delay in the new firmware is due to sorting out the upgrade to VF4! I don't know whether it's either true or indeed significant, but some dealers have told me that in recent weeks new EVF2's have been in short supply and are becoming increasingly difficult to source. jlindstrom Posted June 24, 2014 Share #17 Posted June 24, 2014 All this anticipation is making me nervous. New firmware, new EVF.. at the same time my M240 is being serviced by Leica. Cross fingers, it comes back magically with the new firmware //Juha
