Default M240 and old lenses

Ad
Last Saturday I already try R lenses.

Just to extend my thoughs and the versatility of the M 240 I played yesterday with some adaptors and lenses combinations

with Viso III and ZOOAN + Tele Elmarit 2.8/135 head, with the mirror set in up position the liveview is activated.

with a 42 mm long tube + Telyt 4/200

and with a 42 mm long tube + Telyt 5/400

How do you find the focussing with the EVF on the 180, JC?

If I understand well your question,
Better to work with a tripod or a shoulder stock or high ISO and medium aperture IMHO.

Hello Jean Claude,

Nice photos.

Wouldn't it be easier to focus wide open & then stop down like with a pre-set lens?

Do you do it the way you do because there is a degree of focal shift with the 180mm Apo?

Best Regards,

Michael

Thanks Michael
The liveview and the viewfinder works the same from wide open to narow one.
The processor is able to correct in relation to
it is not esay to stabilise the set if you use the focus peak.

Using the Viso in between made the stabilisation more easy and the shutter can be set to just before releasing by adjusting the arm screw.

Thanks - which adaptor were you using? I'm so frustrated that the Leica R to M isn't available!

Chris, I have Novoflex R to M and Oly OM to M adapters. Will they not work? Are they unavailable? They work on the M9, and they're built very well!

Playing in this moment with Bellows II Elmar 65 Black in macrophotography.
Liveview is really helping.
