luigi bertolotti Posted November 19, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 19, 2014 Welcome to the forum !!! Strange that it happened on 3 lenses (new ?, on the same camera ?) I have a 35/2 asph that is perfect (though bought used) : can you explain better the issue ? I mean, is that the lens, with focus ring at infinity , doesn't focusu correctly at infinty OR lenses focus correctly at infinity but the RF patch does not align an object very far ? Of course, they are different problems.
Mapet Posted November 20, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted November 20, 2014 The focus ring is at infinity but the lens wide open is not in focus for distant subjects. It is in focus when I move focus ring slightly forwards. For close targets the focus is spot on. What is interesting that 35/2 and 28/2.8 share similar body. I have checked these lenses with M9 and Ricoh GXR.
thighslapper Posted November 20, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 20, 2014 Are the actual pictures in focus ? If they are, you are observing quite a common phenomenon with wide angle lenses. With such a large DOF the infinity adjustment is not that critical. If the photos are out of focus with infinity set on the lens ...... and with multiple lenses ..... I would be suspicious about the rangefinder adjustment.
