Something seems to be loose. I've never encountered an issue like this on any lens, and I'm wondering if I need to send it to Leica for an adjustment? Any thoughts? What will an adjustment cost? wda Posted November 19, 2014 Share #3 Posted November 19, 2014 Wilfredo, has the jiggle affected your lens's performance? Or are you on the point of selling it? If both answers are negative, consider why you should spend money on an investigation and have the lens out of use for some unknown period. If the jiggle niggles you, that is a different matter. It didn't seem to compromise the lens' performance, but it was irritating. Apparently, it's an easy to fix if you have the know how and the right tool. Leica did it for me in less than 4 weeks, which is obscene haste for a Leica factory repair. However, I can't tell you what it cost, as it was warranty job. An expensive piece of equipment with a reputation for workmanship should work with no hassles for years. BTW, I don't abuse my gear. You're in NYC so why don't you bring it by the Leicastore-SoHo/Kurland Photo and let them take a look before it goes off to New Jersey. Great bunch of guys. Did you purchase it new? I've seen the"jiggle" fixed on a online video. Took about 10 minutes, but the lens needed part dismantling before some sort of a proprietary tool was applied.
