Was pleasantly surprised with the 35 FLE's portrait capability. This is a jpeg straight off the camera... Welcome, dear visitor! CheshireCat Posted October 29, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) Nice, but it seems the lens tends to render square heads Edited October 29, 2014 by CheshireCat
dugby Posted October 29, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted October 29, 2014 Nice, but it seems the lens tends to render square heads That'll teach me, for using the square lens hood. The laws of light-physics are squarely are display in this photo.
Michael Geschlecht Posted October 30, 2014 Share #4 Posted October 30, 2014 Hello Dugby, Nice photo. I find that I take about 90% of all my photos with a 35mm lens on a full frame M. Even though I learned a lot about photography with a 90mm lens. A 90mm lens is a lens that makes you think when you use it. I have used a wide variety of other focal lengths over time also but I find a 35mm lens more appropriate in more situations for me. I find that the photos I miss when I am using 1 lens only are often compensated for by less to carry, ease of handling & no need to change lenses. I usually don't use much in the way of additional equipment beyond 1 or 2 light meters. This allows me to bring along a small solid table tripod which opens up a lot of options & almost always makes a good picture better while being small enough not to be bothersome. Best Regards, Michael

DMJ Posted October 30, 2014 Share #8 Posted October 30, 2014 They are listed on Amazon UK; at least they look very similar. There were 10 there this morning but now only 5. So bought one to reduce it to 4. Selling out fast.
