Anyone have or know of a Lee Filter holder for a 21mm Lux

I made one before with a 21mm lux hood but it really didn't work that great........looking for other ideas and a 21mm f3.4 is not an option:D

LR or PS model. Use HDR, or graduated filter where you control the density and steepness of the graduation. Fits any lens. Can be customized to accommodate objects that stick up into the darkened area. Need not carry it with you.

I can not think of a single instance where a factory blend fit a real photo unless it is a sunset over an ocean.

There's an E82 filter holder available for the Summilux-M 21 mm Asph (art. no. 14481) which screws on the lens in place of the hood. Then you might work your way from there ...

I just saw that on eBay...............do you think that by the time you stack another adapter on top of that plus the holder the filter will end up to far away from the lens causing vegetating

Will be interested to hear your views on the seven5. I tried to modify my 100mm filter holder for use on the Leica and it failed miserably..... Now thinking about the Lee system as well

Simon

My first go around I bought a spare lens hood (~200 bucks) and had it modified on the rig by the rig welder and it worked but to be honest was crap............vingetting was bad and the welder was blind as it wasn't square so that little project cost me more than all of the above that I just ordered from B&H.

Anyway once I get it all I will post up some pictures of the set up

Wouldn't it be simpler to just get the 82mm filter holder and a 82mm GND?

All available at BH Photovideo.

If the attached is what you are talking about they are crap as you cannot adjust the height so you always have the horizon 50/50........sorry no good laaa

For landscape photography you need to be able to adjust the height of the filter so that it is level with either the horizon or where light meets dark and with the rule of thirds that is not good..........if you only have the option to go 50/50

Theoretically you are correct however these filters are quite useful. They reduce density toward the edge when looking at the filter however in use the final image shows a very subtle transition that adds just enough neutrality to save many images. Soft transition, of course.

The vignetting issue I believe will be there with the 21mm adapter and Lee filter holder, perhaps using the wide-angle adapter and no more than one slot it will be okay.

My solution is to hold the square (rectangular) type filters in hand and forget the holder. The plastic filters, including the Lee filters are okay quality, the glass gnd filters used in cinema can deliver better image quality, I find that testing is needed on each filter due to inconsistency.
