lpeeples Posted April 9, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've not used my M240 in the winter as it just arrived. However, living in Michigan, I frequently shoot in very cold weather, 0F to 30F depending. I'd like to get input from users in cold climates how their M240 performed. Normally I'll use it on a tripod shooting landscapes. If it doesn't do well in the cold, thats a huge issue for me....

Chuck Albertson Posted April 9, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 9, 2014 Might want to post this query in the M(M240) sub-forum: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m-type-240/317755-m240-35-degrees-field-report.html
woorob Posted April 10, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 10, 2014 Personally, I would not regard temperatures between zero and 30°F as "very cold." That said, my M(240) works perfectly at those temperatures, but stops working at about -25 below F.
