Where to submit photos for the Leica M Campaign?

I got a mass email form Andreas Jürgensen about the new Leica M campaign, but he didn't say where to submit the photos, or what is the required resolution/size of the photos.

and select one of the categories.

Regarding resolution the images are meant to be of print quality, but obviously the galleries won't accept images of that size, so I'd resize them to the appropriate forum size - 960 pixels max per side, 245k or under.

Something the campaign letter is ambiguous about is whether the submitted images have to be taken with a Leica M8. Or will any Leica do?

I assume the latter, but the advertising-copy is solely pitched at how good the M8 is.

Any M camera is how I read it. This isn't M8 exclusive.

I am intrigued by this 'Leica M Campaign'. I've not heard anything of it before. If I'm poking my nose into something that's not my business do let me know, but If its a forum-wide thing I'd love to know a little more - including this concept of being 'signed up' !

Robert, you should have received an email. If not then you need to go to here and look at the bottom section of the screen for the categories...

Spenth, as far as I'm aware the event is open to all M users on the forum. When I said that you need to be 'signed up' I meant that your profile on the forum had to indicate that you wanted to receive emails from the mod - that's part of the initial registration process, though it can be changed later.

The images look terrible on the site. Looking through the category on sharpness, few if any of the images give one the impression of sharpness. Oh! I did try both single clicking and then clicking on the underlined text to get a larger image. Still terrible. What did they do to them?

I got the e-mail but I am not sure what the purpose of this campaign is? How will the pictures be used???? Is there a cut-off date?

Is the submission limited to 4 pics ?

Try other categories. There is a limit per category.

I've resized to down to 960 pixels and 245KB max but in hind sight see that there is a huge variation in submitted sizes from very small right up to native resolution of the M8 . Hmmmm .... it looks as if the software resizes all images, no matter how large, to a maximum dimension of 500 pixels for display. It would have been helpful if the size requirements had been more detailed in the instruction email, hopefully pictures won't be rejected for being too small for printing when the author probably has a hi-res version available.

Some of the categories are not very clear so if necessary I hope the selectors will move images to a category more in line with their needs.

Since you have specified in your profile that you do not wish to receive emails I'm unable to forward it to you, an admin will have to do it, sorry.
