dhsimmonds Posted February 1, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) What slimline filters are you using with your 109 or LX100 fitted with the folding lens-cap?
Advertisement Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Hi dhsimmonds, Take a look here 43mm filter for Digilux 109. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ayewing Posted February 1, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 1, 2015 I do not as yet have any 43mm filters but I do have quite a few 46mm ones. Maybe I will try a 43 to 46 adapter though this would not work with the auto lens cap.
jhawker Posted February 1, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 1, 2015 Dave, I have mounted a 43mm B+W MRC on the lens. It is not a slim line filter. I was very careful to assure that it cleared the front element. It has worked well. JH
dhsimmonds Posted February 2, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted February 2, 2015 Thanks JH but do you have the auto lens cap fitted to the lens also?
C Lei Lux Posted February 3, 2015 Share #5 Posted February 3, 2015 (edited) Thanks JH but do you have the auto lens cap fitted to the lens also? Hi Dave, there is only one filter with the close fully automatic foldung cover. >>> Cokin pure harmony UV filter 43mm <<< Caution: in germany no longer available. > with photo Holub* in vienna i discovered an offer a week ago. >> immmediately ordered. >>> confirmed two days ago shipping. * best regards mike (klaus-michael heib) http://www.flickr.com/photos/klamihb Edited February 3, 2015 by kmhb
nad Posted February 3, 2015 Share #6 Posted February 3, 2015 I just go a Cokin Pure Harmonie UV MC Ultra Slim 43 mm filter. Thickness is 3.3 mm. It works well with the auto lens cap. And there's at least 1 mm clearence between filter and glass. niels

jhawker Posted February 4, 2015 Share #8 Posted February 4, 2015 Dave, No, sorry I don't have the special cap. JH
apertur Posted February 4, 2015 Share #9 Posted February 4, 2015 However, combined with the auto lens cap, the rough metal filter edges rubs some of the plastic off with use. That is why I don't use this combination after I found black plastic dust around the lens tubus. Am afraid this stuff would find its way to the sensor. dhsimmonds Posted February 4, 2015 Author Share #10 Posted February 4, 2015 Hi Dave, just arrived Cokin filter. fits perfectly. photos on flickr best regards, mike Thanks Mike, as you show in your PM, it fits a treat and the auto lens cap shuts perfectly over the filter. Very useful visual demonstration, now I just have to find a UK dealer that stocks the 43mm size, so far every other size but 43mm.....isn't that always the way!
