hi all,

am new to this forum and have a slightly newbie question - what cable can be used to connect the camera to the PC? I do not have the original cable any more, and neither micro-usb nor mini-usb seem to work. is this some special kind of port?

i attach a picture showing the ports available... would be very grateful for any guidance as to what type of cable can be used to connect to the PC, and how to look for it - i have searched e-bay but cannot find one...

Hi and welcome.

If you want to transfer pictures your best bet is to use the built-in SD card reader on your pc or to buy one that plugs in to a USB port. I have never connected a camera to a computer.

Regards,

Bill

thank you for the replies. that's understood - my problem seems to be that the manual says it's a 'usb cable' - unfortunately, i have lost that cable and have tried to find a replacement on ebay, hence the query on what type of conncetor this is, given mini usb/micro usb do not seem to fit).

If you go on amazon or ebay, look carefully at the cable ends as they aren't correct. Your best bet is to go to a photo store website that sells Leica. B&H photo in the US sells the cable. Like the stock cable in the box, this cable connects to the computer and is the only way to charge the battery if you haven't purchased the separate charger.
