I'm still in the fondling phase. I've seen these LTM cameras at Richard Caoplan's store in London but never realised how beautiful they were. They are real optical instruments.
About 18 months ago I was visiting the south coast of England and taking photos with my M8. A man came up to me (an Australian if I recall correctly) and asked about the M8. He was carrying a case containing two cameras. They were both Contaxes (is that rude word around here?) a IIa and a IIIa . Anyway I was struck then by their condition and beauty. I thought they look even better than old Leicas. Now I'm not so sure, they look big and bulky. Jeff |
