All right Per, it went for SEK 3100.

Here is a picture of the beast with my M4-P, which is of course the model that goes with it.

How curious that I saw you take that photograph at the auction Lars - but had no idea it was you, of course.
I'd intended to bid only on a Canon7 and 0.95 - but arrived about five minutes too late!
On a sudden impulse I bid a couple of times on the Elmar 90 that I thought might work with the R-D1s (my Summicron90 doesn't) but to no avail, and so I left before your's came up.

I actually saw another member from the forum there - but when he buried himself in his catalog I realized it was serious business!

(PS: I LOVE the look from the Summicron90 on the film cameras btw - so it's a pity you're not keeping the lens yourself...)

Well, as long as we´re into Leica-related arrangements in Stockholm: Today I saw an exhibition at the Goethe-Institut Schweden here, called "Leica 24x36 - a Change in Perspective".

Some more or less historical Leicas in glass showcases; nothing new for the average collector, of course. Lots of photographs by some 20 photographers, among them ten Oscar Barnack´s.

Perhaps most interesting: a running film with Leica historica, both technical and image-oriented. Regrettably, I didn´t have the time to see the whole film; it ran for the whole of my visit without reaching the end.

If you´re in Stockholm, go there!

Shall I use it ?... as expected, the focus on M8 is someway out, at f2... I'll see...the coupling cam is clearly fine-adjustable with right tools in the right hands..

Cron90_f2_crop.jpg

An older Elmar 90 3 elements is better... but is at f4...

And the Cron is not so bad vs. one of the very first Tele Elmarit 90, at f2,8
