How Is this lens standing Amongst the several types of F2 50mm?

It's the first re-design of the legendary Summicron... optics changed from 7 to 6 elements, and Leitz declared it had more contrast than the previous... I can't tell you anymore... I have only a first version Cron and no experience on others... but the general mood is that a clean/unscratched/well coated Summicron 50 is always an excellent lens.
