BOOWU Legs

For a time I have had a set of BOOWU mounts. I have found for sale a set of legs to complete the set, but they are for the BOOWU-M as per the box they are coming in. Will the legs for the M work with my LTM mounts?

There is no mention of leg incompatibility between BOOWU and BOOWU-M devices in the 2nd Edition of Laney's Leica Collectors Guide. There would seem to be no reason why they should not work on the three black crackle painted collars you already have. I have done the reverse and used my BOOWU set on both digital and film M-Leicas with a screw to bayonet adaptor after adjusting the angle of the mount to the film edge by slacking off the tiny (usually rusted!) screws in the collars.

As the device is normally used with the 50mm lens set to f/11 or less the depth of field should take care of any small differencesin the lens to film distances.

Even in the days of photocopiers and scanners I find this a useful device.
