lockesboy Posted March 15, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, thought I might seek help here as been at this for hours and cant figure it out. I have just cleaned this old 1937 ish screwmount lens and I cant seem to figure out how the 12 aperture blades re fit back into the lens. Do I fit them to the castellated part first which is removed from the lens if so in what order or do I fit them or do I fit them in the holes inside the bottom of the lens barrel. any help or diagrams gratefully received, I hadn't planed on doing this, it kinda came apart on me during the cleaning process thanks, Ian Edited March 15, 2014 by lockesboy

jc_braconi Posted March 17, 2014 Share #6 Posted March 17, 2014 Hmm, can you help in any way J C I cleaned some Summar's years ago but I do not had this problem. Better to think how it works and have a logic action to put the blades in order to function again. Welcome, dear visitor! jerzy Posted March 18, 2014 Share #10 Posted March 18, 2014 Send me PM with your email address, I can send you scans of relevant pages from Tomosy repair handbook. He describes there Summitar, collapsible, construction similar to Summar. Br Jerzy
