edmond_terakopian Posted October 2, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted October 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Greetings Learned Leica Friends, Â I have recently got myself a lovely Leitz 50mm Summilux; it's the first version and from 1959. It came with it's original hood. Alas the hood is big and juts into the viewfinder framing quite a bit. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could fit a different hood, one with cutouts, onto it? Â Many Thanks, Â Edmond

TomB_tx Posted October 2, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted October 2, 2013 Yes - Leica hood 12586 is the later "vented" version (for the v2) that fits the v1 perfectly. I have one on my 1960 v1. KEH has a used one now.

It is no good, anyway. Â Seriously, though, a super lens. Congratulations.
