Looks like I got a serious challenge coming up. Does anyone know where I could get at least the rear element fixed?
Thanks a lot! front element, with slight defect in the coating front 0423 200 gold0008.jpg middle element, with probably dust particles mitte 0423 200 gold0012.jpg rear element, with lint, "stars" and scratches or cleaning marks in the inside hinten 0423 200 gold0010.jpg rear element hinten 0423 200 gold0007.jpg rear element Hinten 0423 200 gold0013.jpg ... if hopeless, at least these are real Leica shots: R7, 2.8/100 & Elpro and mini mag ![]() thanks |

Looks like fungal spots?? ... if so may need specialist attention to include clean polish and recoating ... and if on several elements it could be an expensive repair.

Another possibility is John van Stelten in the US. He can re-polish, re-coat etc. Even has front elements for the original version f:2.8/50mm Elmar. Here is the link:

another one you may try or at least get info from is Will van Manen in the Netherlands.
He's a Leica expert, i have had my M3 and M4 CLAd by him. Very good. check his website index.html obviously i'm not affiliated in any way
