Leica M3 with Super angulon 21mm f3.4
Hi,
Anyone have used Leica M3 with Super angulon 21mm f3.4 facing problem on the alignment on the viewfinder? Please send me some advice on how to check. Thanks. Regards, Chia

Hello Chia,
You'll have to be more specific and describe the problem in more detail. What do you mean by "alignment on the viewfinder"? If it is the rangefinder you are referring to, are you aware that the M3 will only focus down to 1 meter? The f:3.4/21mm Super Angulon has a focusing scale down to 40cm, but from 1 meter down to 40cm the M3's rangefinder is no longer coupled and focusing has to be estimated. Is this the "problem" you are experiencing? Best, Jan |

I've recently send in for CLA. My M3's rangefinder can coupled and focus down to 0.7m and on infinity is not align. Is it normal or can it be due to CLA mis-align? Thanks.

Can you check if other lenses align at infinity? If the Super Angulon is the only lens with a focusing problem, than the problem lies with the lens, not the body. Jan |

My Elamr 50mm f2.8 and 90mm f4 bothcan focus at infinity and telly at the 4m marking when measuring it. I don't think is the body problem. I've yet to try out on a roll of film. Can anyone guide on how to test out. Thanks.
