Ivar B Posted March 14, 2011 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just had an M4 Black Chrome back for Leica after a complete CLA and some repairs. It came back beautifully packed in a nice box and in like new condition but they do indeed charge you - Euro 916,24 + tax. Worth it, though. Advertisement Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Hi Ivar B, Take a look here Leica M4 Black. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
iphoenix Posted March 15, 2011 Share #2 Posted March 15, 2011 Gee, and I thought repairs & CLA's were expensive in Australia. I've just had an M1 CLA'd (shutter tapering) plus leather replaced by the local Leica service agent at a cost of A$528; as well as Summitar 2/50 CLA'd (haze) costing A$165. A superb job on both, restoring them to as new condition; but with an exchange rate of around A$1 = E$0.73, I would imagine it would have been a lot dearer to have this done over there. jaques Posted March 17, 2011 Share #3 Posted March 17, 2011 can you post the details of the Australian repairer? I have a few M's in need of love. Experienced camera techs are getting hard to find here in Australia these days.

Experienced camera techs are getting hard to find here in Australia these days. Sure Jaques, They are :Camera Clinic,56 Easey St., Collingwood, Victoria 3066. Tel. (03) 9419 5247. Web: www.camera-clinic.com They have recently been appointed authorised Leica service agents (I think around 18 mths ago) and did a great job on my M1; though it took a while to get leathers from Germany. They've done a Nikon S2 for me in the past, as well as a couple of lenses. I've been very happy with their work. :D Hope you will be too. SteveYork Posted March 23, 2011 Share #5 Posted March 23, 2011 What were "some repairs"? Makes my $600 US dunk of my m4 into the ocean sound a bit reasonable.
