If BD from 1956?

I have an If Black Dial with a serial# dating it 1956. I understand that no If BD where produced that year, only Red Dials. Does anybody know how this is possible?

All around the serial number / year of issue listings are not 100 % accurate.
with the years I found a lot of mismatching,
same with lenses.
