Black 111b????

Does anyone know anything about the very rare black 111b? Why were they made? For whom?
Why were they sent to N.Y.? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Only thing I could add is that there 5 made - but you likely saw this info in the same place as I did in James Lagers Leica History book.
