Default Azzo a Storm is Brewing...

...get your camera :-)

Somewhere on the island of Puerto Rico is a forgotten beach. You won't find this one in the tour guides, although I did see two valiant surfers in the water. Copyright Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera.

Thanks Louis.

For those who don't know my work, documenting environmental beach pollution has become one of my themes (Poetic Debris). I find this kind of stuff all over the world. This is a global problem. We all need to become more mindful that our planet is a gift to us, not to be abused or taken for granted.

Wilfredo,

Nice work and those clouds look menacing.

ps I don't get the ' Azzo ' part in the title though?! ...

Azzo,

I often sense "storminess" in your work, shadows and drama. I suspect this is a place where you would have enjoyed shooting. I enjoy your particular style very much.

Thank you all for the kind comments :-)

I fully agree with the others and can only add a comment about the excellent composition.

My big regret was not being able to go back to do more shooting, with a tripod for some time exposures. I should have packed a tripod but I didn't. We live and learn...

Another special series, with #2 being my favorite. Abandoned shoes trigger sadness in me.

Wilfredo -

You've deprived us of your company for far too long, but you've come back with an excellent set, all strong for composition, light, contrast, detail, depth, tonal range, tonal quality and texture.

Stuart:

Life is busy these days but it's always nice to come back to the forum when I get a chance to get out and do some exploring with the camera. Thank you for the encouragement.

For some reason I have a hard time throwing shoes in the garbage after they have served me so well. Perhaps we should come up with a ritual for discarding old shoes. Maybe we too are like old shoes, or will be someday?

Marie-Louise:

Thank you. We need more female participation on this forum, I'm glad you are part of this international community.
