vdb Posted February 7, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted February 7, 2009 Thanks Ben. This very unusual town in northern NM was the site where Robt Redfords "The Milagro Beanfield Wars" was filmed in the 80s...I think this was his first film as a director and very well worth seeing. Gives you an excellent feel for the culture here...in many ways I could live there...

sepiareverb Posted February 7, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 7, 2009 I lived quite close to Truchas for a couple of years, spent 5 in northern NM total. Simply amazing light and beautiful landscape Thanks for the memories.

stuny Posted May 10, 2013 Share #9 Posted May 10, 2013 Virgil - Stunning, magical. It's really good to see you doing both color and landscape. I'ts been quite a while since we've seen either from you.

Northwest Wanderer Posted May 11, 2013 Share #12 Posted May 11, 2013 This is weird but very interesting! Dee, you're funny. One has to spend some time in New Mexico to understand the image. It really does fit the region. Cheers
k-hawinkler Posted May 11, 2013 Share #13 Posted May 11, 2013 (edited) Dee, you're funny. One has to spend some time in New Mexico to understand the image. It really does fit the region. Cheers I agree. It's an inspired image I like a lot. The location is about an hours drive from my house, not that far beyond Chimayo. We can see the lights of the village of Truchas at night from where I live. Edited May 11, 2013 by k-hawinkler
