Default Snowballs in Paris

I was scanning a couple of slides to make prints for friends when I came across this. I'm sure it must have been posted before, but I'm not sure.

Paris in early 2003. There'd been some snow and the kids were taking full advantage of it on the Pont des Arts.

I'm pretty sure the film was Provia, Camera was a Hexar AF, lens, I'd guess 35mm

Steve,

A lovely capture and presentation indeed.

Steve, lovely image. It's a relief just seeing something cool with this weather.

Thanks everyone. Looking at images a few years after they were taken can be a very rewarding experience. There are quite often aspects that you didn't see first time round.

I also have some b&w scans from this same period - the same day and location in fact. Looking at those images I can see that I had a problem with dust on the mirror of my scanner at the time - Nikon LS-30. This shows in a sort of halo around the light/dark boundaries in the scans. I must re-scan some of those.

Thanks for looking.

Default AW: Snowballs in Paris

In my view a very nice contrast between the snowball dynamics and the steady background architecture.

Default AW: Snowballs in Paris

Those who like Paris should watch the new movie "Paris" with
Binoche. Wonderful, and - yes, this pix is very beautiful
