A very nice shot of a desolate road. The two snow poles on either side of the frame act as a nice stop and although I'm not a fan of pylons they add a bit of interest. It's some years since I travelled on this road but this view certainly has the feel of highland Scotland about it even down to the clouds.

Thanks Howard, Stuart, Martin and Thomas for your kind remarks - I'm relatively new to monochrome work with a digital camera and it's nice to know that I'm beginning to get things right!
This photo was taken last weekend when I was up in Scotland visiting my elder son and our grandchildren and we stayed at Tomintoul. As Howard will know, Tomintoul is the highest village in Scotland and the road from Cock Bridge, over the Lecht Pass to Tomintoul is notorious as being regularly affected by snow in winter - hence the snow poles. There is a major ski centre at the top of the pass.
