Default Steepest descent

In Mathematics there's an approximation method called "steepest descent", this gives a good idea of it.
San Francisco, R35 Elmarit, Velvia 50 converted in B&W after scanning.
Thanks for viewing.

I suppose there is a sign forbidding skateboards?

Superb shot, you got the bridge in too!

Of the many pictures of our famous streets, few cause vertigo as effectively as this!

Fernando -

Once again I must have clicked the wrong button when I commented on this yesterday. This is a superb photo, with depth towards infinity, plus angle and composition that is astonishingly dynamic and energy filled, along with excellent detail, contrast and tonal range.

Default AW: Steepest descent

great perspective - good image

I just would like to see a little more B&W contrast.

I usually agree with Werner, but to me the contrast on this photo, on both my work and home monitors, is just right.

Lovely shot. Amazing that you got all the vertical lines straight with a regular 35mm since it feels like you are looking downwards. Great work.

WLS,
thanks. Regarding the contrast I agree with Stuart, on my monitor the shades are unreadable with more contrast.

Volker and Gunnar,
thanks.
