Default Florida in January

Just going through some film and this was from a trip I took to Florida in January to shoot the Wisconsin Badgers football team.

Excellent idea and composition. However, when I think of leaving the Upper Midwest in winter for a visit to Florida I think of bright sun, high contrast and vivid colors, as shown below -- Kind of like CSI Miami, or Burn Notice.

Everything did seem brighter and the colors were quite different than Wisconsin in January. Thanks for the tips and spending time making improvements.

It's hard to tell how to post such colorful pictures. I always make my JPGs from larger files that were used for printing, & they quite often seem a bit muted on the Web.

Yes, I've noticed that as well. The web doesn't do this photo and its colors justice.

Jared -

Before clicking the submit button I suggest trying the preview button. Then if you don't like what has become of your image you can remove that copy, rework it, add the reworked copy and preview again before submitting.
