This IMHO, is excellently framed, controlled and presented.

A real good capture Pete.

Because Pete lives in a country where the tide rises 10m or more between low and high tide?

It certainly does on the tidal river at the end of my road, 300 yards away from my house...

Thanks for commenting folks; this is at St Palais sur Mer, at the mouth of the Gironde in France. The mean tidal range is about 5m but more with the equinox springs/neaps. Further up the Gironde a 0.5mtr tidal bore appears which can be surfed for quite a distance.
As andy says, the UK has quite a high tidal range, from memory in Jersey it is not far short of 18mtr.
The fishing huts are known as Carralets, and are usually forbidden to the female of the species.
