Wijayane -
As with your other Ayuthaya posts this is excellent for its subject, composition, light, contrast and tonal range. Unfortunately, just as with the others, it is tilted just a bit to the right and could benefit from a slight rotation to the left. Since this is the case with all three, perhaps there is something about your shooting technique that causes the right tilt. |

Thanks for the comment, once again.
I don't know what happend but i got the stairs to level in parallel with the bottom frame of the finder before shooting. I thought that everything in it would fall balanced. ![]() Also, the main wall was many times on the verge of collapsing and had been renovated to some extent. I don't know, whether this has anything to do with the structure (not that i'm blaming the subject he he he.) I'll try to be more careful ^_^ Last edited by wijayane : 06/10/08 at 02:30 PM. |

Wijayane, a most excellent image. I like it the way it is. It details the fragility and ancient nature of this hallowed place. I run into the same decision making here in the old sections of NYC. Old things aren't plum & square. I think that's part of the appeal. People don't liked being boxed in and made to align themselves to some outer order.
I like the tonal feeling of this image and how the framing creates another world behind the arch. Well done. |

This photo was taken by the the Fuji Superia 200, scanned and then turned into black & white through the PSCS3. Normally I would use the Ilford or the Tmax on regular basis, develop the film myself and then print the photos at home, but now that my darkroom is no longer available (the room is now used to store other things) I now have to scan the BW film with the film scanner and store all the pics on CD and the harddrive.
