Default Spring in b/w

Leica V-Lux
I liked it especially in b/w, looks a bit surreal. Hope you like it as well and have a nice day

I would be curious to see it in color, too... in BW the view is driven by road direction and the wonderful tree at medium distance with its "brilliant white" foliage; the meadows, in smooth graytones, act as "contouring"... and this make it a fine bw pic.
In color, I wouldn't be surprised if the meadows, probably of strong green hues, would became the significant catching view, making it a "different" pic...
I suspect that even in color the sky would be "white" from the shadows, seems to me the picture was taken rather counterlight ... and this is a situation in which, probably, bw is better in this sense... in color a "no blue" sky is often annoying... in bw is simply an elemnt of the image.

Default AW: Spring in b/w

Hello,

I will try and put it online in colour later on. Also the colour one is rather nice, since, as you said, the meadows are deep green and the white trees look somewhat unnatural in that context, but the b/w gave -from my point of view- the little extra to it.

Thx a lot

Stef

Sorry for the delay, but could not make it earlier. This is the colour version. I like it very much, too, but must confess that I prefer the b/w version.

Have a nice weekend
