Default The Lowry

Only a snap.

Litter is from the previous evening when the crowd watched Manchester United win the League Championship.

Now await the outcome of the European Championship on 21st May.

Thanks for looking.

Rolo,

very nice angle you've found there - I may pinch it!

Thank you both.

This was not taken as a serious pic. I visit this spot regularly to test lenses, cameras and films.

It's a pain, but I had a massive payoff for my efforts recently when I discovered that that an expensive zoom lens was faulty and it's now on it's way to Sweden for MTF testing and adjustment. I've also got more knowledge on my Leica gear and it isn't all what I expected, but it's better for knowing.

Feel free to use my tripod holes, John. Maybe we should have a North West meet there. Ha.

Plus ... I get there now and again for other, more commercial, reasons.

Heard about this place but never seen a picture of it. Your first picture shows off the geometrical shapes of the building a foreground very well. The second picture is a real eye opener - what a great place for this type of portrait.

I think the windscreen on that kit car is from a Triumph Herald.

There's no way one could capture and present these images any better IMHO.

Rolo,

Excellent.
