Very nice image of a beautiful place.

Like the soft treatment, which is unusual for me with landscapes. In this case it adds to the image.

I have seen a lot of pictures of Portree over the years (been there several times as well). This is a very different interpretation that I like a lot. If it wasn't for the modern houses and the cabin-forward fishing boat, it could be a scene from the 1930s. It has a timeless character despite the modern trappings. Do I detect a slight positioning of the tongue in the cheek in your description wording?

I am feeling that the horizon is a little down at the right though
