Thanks chaps. The "angel" in the second photo is actually Alice passing through the looking glass - Lewis Carroll taught in Guildford. Here are a couple of alternative views:

Wonderful! And what a gorgeous interpretation of the story. I am just reading Alice in Wonderland out loud to my five year old, so I'll make sure I show her these...
