These are quite easily accessible from the road, and the highest point is about 500 feet (150 m) high.

R9/DMR + 35-70 (I think at 70mm)

Excellent colors and contrast.The pattern on the sand brings something extra to this shot.

My eyeballs see the transition from rock to sand to scrub.....Wonderful photograph.
In the olden days I used to visit my mother and father in The Palm Desert Area. I still have fond memories of the air and the light.
