Chris -

This is a lovely composition with terrific depth and detail. I feel it needs some punching up, though. Perhaps I overdid it a bit.

The soft and flat light is probably accurate. This one grows on you. Good composition, your eye is drawn into the picture.

I like this one. Somewhere between the two is probably about right, but given the cloud cover and the time of year, the light would be pretty soft in Scotland.
