Verner -
Based on this image I wish you'd post much more frequently. This is gorgeous in composition, depth, clarity, light, contrast, tonal range, and tonal richness. |

Werner, gorgeous work all around. Can you enlighten us as to your kit, films, processing/scanning. This a high bar you have set and I'm sure I speak for others in my sentiments. Thanks for posting.

Wis,
This is a really lovely composition, very delicate with an alluring simplicity. I do believe you can work on the tones a bit more so the gray doesn't dominate. I'm including a sample here of what I mean. Please keep them coming, I may have missed your first post. I hope it was O.K. with you that I tweaked your image a bit. This is just another interpretation in the end. Cheers, Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera Photography Last edited by wilfredo : 03/13/08 at 01:55 AM. |

Wilfredo, for me, the original creation is best. This one is too flat. Sorry.
Wls, great photograph, print it to 12x16, mount and frame it.

I don't mean to be critical but on my calibrated screen the first photo seems somewhat flat, some separation of tones but mostly gray. I agree, the first photo does seem more moody but mostly because it is darker. If Wis is happy, then it is all good.

Here's my final observation, and again, this in the end is just my take on it. If moodiness is the intent, then I've added some. I'm posting the original, and new version with a touch of moodiness, but still working the tones. I hope this is not considered offensive, and I apologize in advance if it is taken that way.
