Yes here it is, I was pleased with too, but I am trying to master the B&W image. I just feel it has something...I cant put into words, it may have something to do with my age! lol ( IMHO it looks better still with more contrast)

Wow! That black and white picture has the most interesting contrast between foreground and background. Beautiful, restful picture.

DES,
I made this try, hope you won't mind. I only processed curves with Photoshop. Anyway, I stand on your first marvellous BW version ![]() SA HILLSSlide Show 1.jpg |

Des,
An excellent shot, and I prefer your B&W rendition to because it emphasises the 'form' of the mountains in the background. The repeating pattern created by the upper-right to lower-left mountain slopes is less powerful in the colour version, I think, because of all the additional colour and tone information which distracts the eye. At first sight it looked like you might have slightly over-dodged the background to emphasise some of the foreground edges and unintentionally created lighter, out-of-context areas but I can see the same lighter areas in the colour version too so they must be part of the original scene. The ones I mean are just to the left of the rocky outcrop in the right foreground - is this wind-blown dust perhaps? Pete.

This is an awesome B&W rendition. I just spent an informative session in Photoshop with your colour version trying to duplicate your vibe in B&W.
Thank you for sharing this; gives us something to work toward. Bye / N |
